Getting started with your AMR puck
From unboxing to your first reading, in five steps.
Before you start
| You need | Why |
|---|---|
| A charged puck | The internal battery powers it. Charge it before first use. |
| Clean, bare metal on the machine | The magnet holds best, and readings are most reliable, on unpainted ferrous metal. |
| Your Wi-Fi name and password | Only for the Wi-Fi option. The puck joins your 2.4 GHz network. Cellular needs nothing. |
| Your dashboard invitation | Open the link from AMR, choose a password and sign in. |

First reading in five steps
| Step | You do | The platform does |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Sign in | Open your invitation link, choose a password and sign in. | Shows your plant overview, empty until a puck reports. |
| 2. Snap it on | Place the puck on the machine. No tools needed. | The puck wakes and registers. |
| 3. Connect | Wi-Fi: join the puck's setup network on your phone and pick your Wi-Fi. Cellular: nothing to do. | Shows Wi-Fi or cellular on the puck's page. |
| 4. Assign | Click the New AMR puck detected banner and choose the machine. | Starts that machine's history and limits. |
| 5. Learn normal | Leave it running. For a few days AMR learns what is normal for this machine. | Then sets the orange and red limits itself and shows the expected days to failure. |
